NBC6 Miami reports that two construction workers were safely rescued after they were left hanging from their safety harnesses when the scaffolding they were working on became dislodged, Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at a construction site in the 2500 block of Southwest 28th Lane, in S-W Miami.
Members of the Miami Fire Rescue’s Technical Rescue Team were on the scene to help.
The workers were left hanging about 35 feet above ground after the scaffolding malfunctioned.
Officials have not released any details on the condition of the workers.
According to OSHA, scaffolding hazards continue to rank high on the list of the most frequently cited standards in the construction industry.
Scaffold-related fatalities account for a significant number of fatalities in the construction workplace.
