Badaxx donated to Spokane Fire Station

Spokane, WA – A local business has donated a Badaxx to the South Hill Fire Station to help with fire efforts.

The Badaxx was invented in 2014 by Spokane Firefighter Scott McCann, who said he created it to help first responders save lives at a fire scene. He said it combines the useful features of a couple of different tools into one, helping firefighters carry less tools, less weight, and it’s more efficient.

The Badaxx can be used as a step to open fire hydrants or as a rooftop base for firefighters to hook up and belay. McCann said the bladed ax makes it more efficient for chopping, and the aluminum handle ensures it will not break during use.

600 of the axes have been sold worldwide.
