VCFD Releases 2015 Video Annual Report

Camarillo, CA – Earlier this week, the Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) unveiled its 2015 Annual Report for the first time as a video to the County Board of Supervisors.

According to Fire Chief Mark Lorenzen, the report “visually showcases the exceptional work our firefighters and employees do every day. It provides an accessible and appealing way for people to understand all the services we provide.”

The videos take viewers behind the scenes with each county fire bureau, including emergency services, administrative services, support services, business services and fire prevention. Meet VCFD’s personnel and explore its programs, notable successes, budget and plans for the future.

Chief Lorenzen says:  “the VCFD is dedicated to making Ventura County a safer place to live and work. We are continually working to ensure that our training, equipment, and facilities meet the needs of the citizens and communities we serve. We take every precaution to protect and prepare the public for emergencies.

Chief Lorenzen is appealing to the community: “But the reality is, during a large scale disaster, there will not be enough firefighters to help everyone. We need our community members to be part of the solution.”
