Jules is the President/CEO of Safety Unlimited, Inc., and the founder of SUN News. His media experience comes from his role for 20+ years as a Public Information Officer for the Ventura County Fire Department. Jules has provided occupational safety and health training for almost 30 years in a variety of topics and has been an Outreach Instructor certified by the State of California since 1993. He is also an OSHA Outreach Trainer for both General Industry and Construction.
Colin has 40 years of experience in broadcast news, both in the USA and internationally. He worked for KTLA as a senior writer, with anchor Hal Fishman in the early 2000’s, and as a writer/anchor on KNX1070 news radio during the mid-to-late 2000’s, at a time when the Asian Tsunami hit the headlines. Since 2012 Colin has been a staff writer/narrator for Safety Unlimited working on a variety of projects.
Jon has 25 years experience hosting morning radio shows and covering the news. Jon will be responsible for on-scene live reporting for SUN News. Jon has been with Safety Unlimited since 2012 as the primary narrator and audio specialist. Jon has also developed several character voices for the animation department. Jon is the cousin to the famous musical group The Cowsills.
Bill has worked in the film industry and the independent/contract, corporate video business for over twenty-five years– experience that ranges from writing/directing feature films to making numerous corporate videos, commercials plus two years running Catholic Online’s Daily news web-broadcast program including remote live-internet streaming. Since 2012, Bill has led the Safety Unlimited Video and Animation Department.
Ryan’s experience includes 6 years in the U.S. Army as video production specialist stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center TV, Armed Forces Network Korea, 55th Signal Company-Combat Camera. Ryan joined the Safety Unlimited team in 2010 as a videographer, photographer, and animator. Ryan specializes in creating content for online and classroom training as well as video and photo documenting company-sponsored classroom training and exercises.
Jason has a Master’s Degree in English literature and one in Exercise Physiology. Before joining Safety Unlimited in 2008, he worked as a freelance writer, contributing articles to various newspapers and magazines. Jason is the Writer Team Leader at Safety Unlimited, Inc. He has served as the senior writer and editor for The Monthly SUN (Safety Unlimited Newsletter) since 2010.
Sean has a degree in Journalism and another in Technical Writing. He spent the early part of his career with The Findlay Courier writing sports blurbs and obituaries. He went on to write grants and newsletter articles for the Little Sisters of the Poor. Sean joined the Safety Unlimited writing staff in 2009 and has added countless articles to the SUI Newsletter, in addition to writing course and webpage content. He has also published several short articles, a pair of books, and a collection of short stories.
Bob has a Ph.D. in Philosophy and taught for 23 years at the university level before becoming a training and business writing consultant. He published a number of academic papers and developed training programs for several Southern California companies, eventually becoming Training Director of a law practice. Bob joined the Safety Unlimited team in 2012 as a Course Developer and Technical Writer.
Content Writer/Spanish Translator
Wendy has a Master’s in Spanish. Her background includes technical writing and translation for occupational safety and health training, as well as the manufacturing and medical fields. She has written and presented academic papers and taught on a graduate level. Wendy joined Safety Unlimited, Inc. in 2012, where she has contributed articles for The Monthly SUN (Safety Unlimited Newsletter). She is a member of Toastmasters International, where she writes, presents, and critiques speeches. Wendy is also a Customer Support Specialist for SUI.
Jon is a system analyst, web developer, database administrator, and the website manager for SUN News. His education is comprised of vast amounts of online training, allowing him to share the perspectives of developer and end user. He will bring this, as well as over 10 years of web development experience, to provide a responsive, functional website. Jon has been on the Development Team for Safety Unlimited since 2010.
