Crews continue to clean up oil from last month’s massive spill near Refugio Beach.

The process has cost $62 million so far. Plains All America estimates the cost is $3 million per day.

About three-quarters of the coastline is now clear of oil, but it’s still not known when the process will be finished.

Meanwhile, officials have denied a request by Exxon Mobil to have tanker trucks transport oil now that the pipeline is down. They say the application did not meet requirements for expedited review, but the company can apply again.
