Construction Worker Killed by Road Milling Machine


ROMNEY, W. Va. — A Mineral County man was fatally injured Wednesday night when he was struck by a road milling machine in a work zone on U.S. Route 50 near Hampshire High School, according to West Virginia State Police.

Mark Kevin Haines, 48, of New Creek, was pronounced dead at the scene following the 9 p.m., accident, police said.

Investigation by State Police determied that Haines was working with the road crew at the time of the accident.
